I completed two post-doctoral fellowships from the National Endowment for the Humanities, one at Yale and the other at Cambridge University. I also completed three post-doctoral fellowships at Oxford University. I spent 50 years teaching, beginning with first grade and moving up to college. I was a professor of English and Dean of Students at Marian University in Fond du lac, WI and a professor as well as Dean of Liberal Arts at Menlo College in Atherton, CA. I was a member of a religious order of nuns for 25 years. My passions are figure skating and hiking.
