I Sang in My Chains

Description

Since I entered the convent at the age of 14, I had to do a lot of growing up quickly because the rules back in 1958 and following were still “medieval” in nature. In my memoir I write about the culture shock, the penances, the hit and miss way I learned how to handle a classroom full of rambunctious children, many of whom touched my heart with their shananigans. The book is about our common struggle to find meaning in our lives. At age 40 I left after 25 years of soul searching.
